Some of John’s favorite memories from growing up on the eastern shore of Maryland, are his trips to Assateague Island with his father. This beautiful National Shoreline is a surf fisherman’s paradise, and home to many birds, horseshoe crabs, and wild ponies! It its a spectacular place that has been left natural and wild. You can drive miles along the beach in search of either fish or horses, just make sure your 4-wheel drive is working and your cooler is packed full!
