Angels of the Marsh

The barrier islands and coasts of the southeastern shore are dotted with great and ancient trees. These Live Oaks stand the testament of time, against the winds, growing in the salt and the sand for hundreds of years. They are historic landmarks, places of respite, ecosystems of moss and fern. You’ll find majestic oak alleys leading towards Plantation homes, or a solitary tree standing sentinel in a field of grass. Walk into its shade, lean against its rough bark, look up into the canopy and imagine how many others have enjoyed these moments with the angels of the marsh.
